1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GPS Creative Studios website and the services we provide. By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, or entering into a booking agreement with GPS Creative Studios ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.
GPS Creative Studios is a Vancouver-based multimedia production studio offering DJ services, videography, event production, and related creative services. These Terms apply to all clients and website visitors.
2. Services
GPS Creative Studios provides the following services, subject to availability and a signed booking agreement:
- DJ services for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and nightlife events
- Cinematic wedding and event videography
- Event production and AV support
- Photo and video media capture
- Personal branding and lifestyle content creation
- Community workshops and events
All services are provided on a selective basis. Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee availability or constitute a binding contract.
3. Booking and Payment
Your date is reserved only upon receipt of a 50% non-refundable retainer. Accepted payment methods include e-transfer, cheque, and cash. The remaining balance is due post-service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- A booking is confirmed only after a written booking agreement is signed and the retainer is received.
- Pricing is subject to change based on event scope, travel, and additional service requirements.
- Overtime is billed at $50 per half-hour beyond the agreed service end time.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
All retainer payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event of a cancellation by the client:
- The retainer is forfeited in full, regardless of the cancellation date.
- Any payments made beyond the retainer will be assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the work already completed and expenses incurred.
In the unlikely event that GPS Creative Studios must cancel due to circumstances within our control, we will provide a full refund of all payments received and make reasonable efforts to recommend alternative providers.
5. Force Majeure
GPS Creative Studios shall not be liable for any failure to perform services resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, health emergencies, or venue closures. In such cases, we will work with the client to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, payments will be applied at our reasonable discretion.
6. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:
- Provide safe and accessible load-in/load-out access for equipment
- Ensure a reliable power source sufficient for the agreed equipment setup
- Provide a vendor meal for the DJ/crew if the event is 5+ hours or meals are being served to guests
- Notify GPS Creative Studios of any venue rules, restrictions, or noise curfews in advance
- Ensure that guest behavior does not interfere with GPS Creative Studios' ability to perform
7. Liability Limitations
GPS Creative Studios is not responsible for service interruptions or quality degradation caused by:
- Power outages, electrical failures, or unstable power supply at the venue
- Third-party equipment failure (house sound systems, venue AV, etc.)
- Interference or interference by guests, other vendors, or venue staff
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
Our total liability to any client shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service in question.
8. Intellectual Property
GPS Creative Studios retains the right to use photos, videos, and audio recordings captured during your event for portfolio, promotional, and marketing purposes (including website, social media, and advertising), unless a written non-disclosure or exclusivity agreement is in place prior to the event date.
All content created by GPS Creative Studios — including edited video films, recordings, and produced materials — remains the intellectual property of GPS Creative Studios until full payment is received. Upon full payment, clients receive a non-exclusive license to use the deliverables for personal use.
9. Website Use
The content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of GPS Creative Studios and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without written permission. Unauthorized use may violate copyright and trademark laws.
We reserve the right to update or remove website content at any time without notice.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
